Strategies for Connecting With People at Work and in Life
Genuinely Connecting with People will Change your Life!
When people are connected, we can do some great things. They have the opportunity to get access to jobs, education, health, communications. We have the opportunity to bring the people we care about closer to us. — Mark Zuckerberg
Being on friendly terms with your coworkers and the people around you can make your life happier and more productive. However, it can be difficult to get to know people if you’re busy with your own work, don't get out much, or communicate mostly by text, email, or online.
Work and day-to-day life are far more enjoyable when you have meaningful relationships. Especially relationships that add value to your life. It’s nice to have people to talk to, share your thoughts with, encourage, and be encouraged.
The more people you connect with, the more likely it is that one of them will be able to be a big part of your life down the road, either at work or in your personal life.
It’s not just about who you know; that’s part of it. It’s really more about who you’re connected with. Consider what YOU would be willing to do for a good friend. Those relationships are purposeful on multiple levels, both at work and in life.
